Sheds to Newcastle

After filling up the van, I went for a walk in the sun around the Tyne's quayside -



This week, I will be helping a third year student at college to build a shed for his degree show. There seemed to be sheds as art wherever you looked in Newcastle. The first one is a floating shed called Flow, a tidemill, by Owl Project and Ed Carter which also generates its own power using a tidal water wheel and produces sounds from the Tyne, using electro- acoustic musical machinery.






In the Baltic art gallery, was a shed piece by Richard Rigg, titled Lacuna, complete with half a Scottish mountain side inside










There was even a shed in my hotel room ...



Set off early the next morning with fog on the Tyne ...
